Visit from City Planner: August 31, 2023

 Cindy Donovan, City Planner, and Heather McBride, City Planning and Zoning Assistant, came to White Pine to work with our Future City class. They are working on creating a waste free city for their competition! 


Having professionals like Cindy and Heather actively engaged with the Future City class enhances the students' understanding of the intricacies involved in city planning. It provides them with a unique opportunity to learn from seasoned experts who navigate the complexities of developing and implementing urban solutions on a daily basis.  Middle and high school students from White Pine had the exciting opportunity to participate in ISU Bengal STEM Day.  Collaborating with community partners, the ISU Science and Engineering departments curated a dynamic event filled with hands-on labs and engaging competitions. The labs sparked curiosity and aimed to ignite a passion for STEM disciplines among the young minds in attendance.
