White Pine's STEM Portfolio

  Our middle school students attended the Future City competition in Boise this past week and came home with some awards! Brix City won Most Innovative Approach to Overcoming Obstacles and Bristle Cone Pine won the Multimodal Transportation award. Congrats to our students for taking on the ultimate STEM competition as winners and to all our teams who competed. We are so proud!

 Sending a huge thank you to Sunshine Shepherd and Greg Losinski from INL, along with Riley Bradshaw from Keller & Associates, for being absolute rockstars in helping our students gear up for the Future City engineering competition in Boise! Their support and dedication has truly made a difference. They've shared in our passion for problem-solving and innovation, and we couldn't be more grateful for sharing their time and expertise!

Step into Mrs. Attebury's 1st grade classroom, where the wonders of Ancient Egypt come to life through the magic of 3D printing! With the help of innovative technology, these students are crafting their own canopic jars, just like the ancient Egyptians did thousands of years ago.  Mrs. Attebury's dedication to providing immersive learning experiences is inspiring! By seamlessly blending technology with traditional teaching methods, she's opening up a world of possibilities for her young learners! 

  Ms. Miller’s 3rd grade class had a STEM Challenge to see who could build the longest chain with 6 pieces of paper in 20 minutes. They did awesome!

  1st grade just finished learning about the states of matter and participated in so many fun experiments!

  Arrrrrg matey! Mrs. Gray’s class is reading Shakespeare’s The Tempest while learning about exploration, with a splash of pirates and treasure! Check out these cool ships a couple of students made! How much treasure do you think they can hold?

  “Sometimes the dragon wins…” and today White Pine STEM Academy won! Congratulations to Mrs. Gray’s art class who won first place in the Ammon City Pumpkin Walk!
